Dave Wondrich book signing at 69 Colebrooke Row

It was a full house this past Friday for the first in a series of 69 talks, this one featuring Mr. Dave Wondrich. The punch was flowing and nearly everyone got an autographed copy of Dave's new book, Punch: The Delights (and Dangers) of the Flowing Bowl. Thanks to all that came by and cheers to our friend Mr. Wondrich for a very memorable evening.

A very special evening

We are very excited to welcome back to the bar with no name close friend Dave Wondrich. Esteemed cocktail historian and author of the indispensable 'Imbibe!' and recently, the definitive account on the flowing bowl- 'Punch', he is a wonderfully entertaining speaker having joined us over summer for the Drink Factory talks .
This very special evening on Friday 21st of January will be the first in a series of talks to grace the bar, and will feature Dave talking through (and of course, liberally ladling out) Punch, and discussing its history and development into modern day drinking. Bookings are being taken now so get in early for this one!

New Masterclasses

The next in our series of special masterclasses will be our Valentine's Day class on Saturday, 12 February, 2-4pm. For all those in need of a little inspiration to make their Valentine feel extra special, the good folk at the bar with no name are here to help!
We will demonstrate a series of themed cocktails (with plenty of bubbles of course) that can be made at home to ensure everyone is in mood. Perfect for couples or those who want to learn something unique to impression someone special.

Our next scheduled comes in the form of a Japanese Masterclass. This will focus on some of the aspects of Japanese bartending and tools, but also products and flavours from Japan. This will also feature some recipes from Japanese bartenders and provide an insight into the style of drinks service served in the bars within Japan. Places are limited. The class will take place from 2-4pm on Saturday 26th February.

All master classes are priced at £40/person and can be booked by emailing drinks@69colebrookerow.com

69 Team trip to berlin

The 69 crew went for a family outing across the shores to the wonderful Berlin following a busy Christmas and New Year period. Despite a reception of ice and snow, spirits were high- aided by the wonderful reception of Soho House Hotel , and a fantastic break ensued. A soak in the cultural offerings of the city were paralleled with that within the hotel spa and a host of excellent bars- notably Lebensstern , Staggerlee , Tausend and Buck and Breck . In addition- Cami got to recharge her batteries in the brilliant cowshead spa, Tony got a very fetching pair of boots, LOU made it to the aquarium despite the failings of everyone else, Teo and Stu received endurance awards, Sophie dominated, Ryan was ping-pong champion, Cara got amused by foreign signs (with superb photos to boot) and Ingrid made her flight home (in spite of some mean spirited attempts to make otherwise). Superb! Oh, and Marcis was there too.
